Local and Worldwide Missions
Take a look! On the back wall of the Sanctuary, in the Narthex, is a wall covered with pictures and information about our Local and Worldwide Missions. You can see your local mission team and our worldwide missionaries and get to know them a little better through photos and newsletters. You can see our local outreach partners with pictures of the many who have served in the community from Good Shepherd. You can join a local mission team to volunteer.
Ask someone on the Local Mission or Worldwide Mission team if you'd like to know more or be involved in some way. New team members are always welcome!

This study is only five weeks long and would be good to experience what an inductive Bible study is like. Cost of the workbook is $20. Contact Jack Knutzen at 562/810.7808 to get the workbook.
Welcome to Deacon's Corner - Memorial Receptions
When the time comes to honor a loved one with a memorial at Good Shepherd, we have three Deacons who are here to help with the reception following the service. These servants, along with a host of volunteers, do their best to make what can be a difficult time into a beautiful event with their families and friends. The team decorates the tables with cloths and flower arrangements. They set out refreshments and cookies and they will serve additional food the family provides. If you would be interested in helping with these receptions either on the day of or by providing cookies, please contact Kathryn St. John at kathryn.stjohn@icloud.com. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. The Deacons are happy to serve in this way and hope the families are comforted by their ministry.
