Good Shepherd - Week of August 17

Sunday Worship
Join us this Sunday as we continue our series "Ordinary" where we'll explore the lives of everyday people in the Bible - flawed, faithful, hesitant, and hopeful - whom God used in extraordinary ways - at the 9am and 10:45am worship gatherings in person, or the livestream option directly from our website at (gspc.org).

Restroom Renovations
The restrooms by the Pastors’ offices and Patio Room will be closed today for renovations. The plan is for them to be reopened on Sunday, August 24th. Please look for additional signage on campus to direct you to two additional restroom locations other than the ones located in the sanctuary lobby.
Home Communion Training
What a special opportunity to visit those who are homebound, pray with them, and extend the table of the Lord's supper into a living room or nursing care environment.
Pastor Bryan would love to equip and encourage you into active service for this ministry. Our dear homebound members REALLY appreciate sharing in this time of the Lord's Supper each month. The reality is that we are not able to "get to" everyone each month.
Please be in prayer about this vital ministry and if you would be willing to be on the Home Communion Team. Training time is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20th @ 6:30-8pm in the Fireside Room. Contact Pastor Bryan at bryan@gspc.org with questions and to reserve your place.

Welcome to Deacons' Corner
As believers, we do not live on this earth alone. We have God and through the Holy Spirit, we have each other to love and encourage.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:23-25.
The Deacons support the offering of encouragement. The Deacon of College/Military encourages people who are not, presently, in our area - college and military members who are connected to our body of believers, by writing or sending texts of encouragement when these folks are away from home.
If you have a college student or military member you would like encouraged, please contact Dawn Jaeger at 657/222.5258.

Red Cross Blood Drive, Tuesday, September 2nd,
9am-7pm in Zirbel Hall
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and friends have provided timeless lessons about taking care of each other. To celebrate their example, everyone who donates blood on September 2nd will receive an exclusive American Red Cross PEANUTS mystery bag with one of four special t-shirt designs. Rumor is the T-shirt is going viral and has become quite a collector's item among young people! NOTE: time has been extended in part because of current blood shortages but also to accommodate donors after work or after school. To schedule your appointment, use this link to find the drive RedCrossBlood.org or call 1/800.733.2767.
