Welcome Prisca and Chewe Kambole from Zambia
This Sunday we welcome Prisca and Chewe Kambole who are visiting with us from Zambia. Prisca will speak to us in both services about the work of PLAEP (Partners for Life Advancement and Education Promotion) in Zambia. She will give us an update on Musonda School along with other important projects. We will have an opportunity to meet and greet Prisca and Chewe on the Plaza between services and learn more about sponsoring a student at Musonda School. There will also be Sanika items made by women in Kitwe. The sale of these items provides income generating opportunities for low-income women as they help provide for their families.
Looking for Officer Nominations
The open positions needed for Elder are HR, and Youth. Deacon positions needed are Care Calling/Visitation, and Courtesy Meals. Please give prayerful consideration for someone you may wish to nominate (it can be yourself). Be sure to ask a person you wish to nominate to be sure they are willing. Send or email nominations to DJ@gspc.org.
Congregational Meeting
The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, November 16th at 10:15am in the Sanctuary to elect the nominees to serve as Elders and Deacons beginning in 2026.
Join the Good Shepherd Family!
Save the date! On Sunday, November 2nd from noon-3pm we are inviting everyone who is not yet an official member of Good Shepherd to come to an interest/orientation meeting for New Covenant Partners. During this time, we'll enjoy good food and friendship together, explore what it means to be a covenant partner, discuss Good Shepherd's core beliefs and priorities, and answer any questions you might have. Childcare is available upon request. Simply email Mary Gerard at mary@gspc.org or click here to register.
Staff Appreciation Month
We will be gathering notes of Thanks and Appreciation for Staff through October. Just drop your note in the basket in the Narthex on any Sunday morning in October, or you are welcome to mail your note to Good Shepherd, and they will be distributed to the Staff. We appreciate all the gifts our Staff brings!

Please contact Heidi Butcher at 714/319.5040 if any questions, or if you are new to the group so that we may add you to our email group distribution list.
