Congregational Meeting

The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, November 16th at 10:15am in the Sanctuary to elect the nominees to serve as Elders and Deacons beginning in 2026.

Join the Good Shepherd Family!

During this time, we'll enjoy good food and friendship together, explore what it means to be a covenant partner, discuss Good Shepherd's core beliefs and priorities, and answer any questions you might have. Staff Appreciation Month

We will be gathering notes of Thanks and Appreciation for Staff through October. Just drop your note in the basket in the Narthex on any Sunday morning in October, or you are welcome to mail your note to Good Shepherd, and they will be distributed to the Staff. We appreciate all the gifts our Staff brings!

Trunk or Treat - October 29th

Everybody is invited and encouraged to come and decorate their trunks as the kids and youth participate in "Trunk or Treat" following the all-church dinner at 5:45pm. Come in your Halloween costume, enjoy dinner together, and be ready for an extra fun night together on Wednesday, October 29th!

Operation Christmas Child 

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due back by October 31st. You can bring them to church on Sunday or by the church office Monday-Thursday, 9-4pm. Thank you!

Faith at Four (45)

Join us on Wednesday, November 5th at 4:45pm in the Choir Room as Doug Scholten shares with us. Plan to stay and enjoy dinner, worship, and classes afterwards!

Quilters

Quilters meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 10am in the Round Room #4. Their next meeting is on Monday, October 27th.

Red Cross Blood Drive, Tuesday, November 4th, 10 am-4 pm, in Zirbel Hall

In November during National Diabetes Awareness Month, blood donations will get free
AIC testing, which is commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. You can take advantage of this opportunity along with receiving a complimentary $10 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice. Sign up today, we have over 30 appointments to fill. The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. Prime Time Veteran's Day Luncheon

Join us on Thursday, November 6th at noon in Zirbel Hall for our Veteran's Day Luncheon. Please register to attend at the table on the Plaza or through the church office. Cost is $8 each. Veterans are free. Don't miss out, bring a friend!

Veteran's Day Luncheon - November 6th

Are you a Veteran? We would love to have you share at our luncheon of the time you served in our Nation's Armed Forces. If you have any memorabilia, uniforms, etc. from the time you served we'd love to feature those items during our time together. Please let Carol know at carol@gspc.org. Local Missions

Help put food on the table for people in need this Thanksgiving. Bring your canned goods to the Local Missions table on the Plaza.

Precept Bible Study

The next Precept Bible study class will be a study on the book of Nehemiah led by Talbot Jaeger. Nehemiah is the account of his leadership in rebuilding Jerusalem's walls and the spiritual renewal of the people. Class is held each Wednesday from 6:35-8pm in Room #4. This study is 5-weeks long. Cost for the workbook is $20. Contact Jack Knutzen at 562/810.7808 to purchase the workbook. 

Special Needs Dance

Our Special Needs "Fall" Dance will be held on Friday, November 14th, from 7-9pm in Zirbel Hall. Good Shepherd hosts this evening of fun for people with developmental disabilities. Come and enjoy it with your friends as Wayne Harrington, our DJ, plays great music to dance and listen to. Feel free to bring snacks to share. Please call Pam at 562/235.9995 with questions. 

All-Church Friendsgiving Dinner

We are inviting you and your family, as we join together, on Wednesday, November 19th beginning at 5:45pm for a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings! Sign up at the table on the Plaza on Sundays or call Ellie at 562/493.2553 x200 in the church office to register.

Friendsgiving Dinner Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to donate and prepare food for our All-Church Friendsgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 19th. Please stop by the table on the Plaza to see what is needed, sign up, and take a card for item you are preparing. Thank you in advance!
