Advent Devotional
Be sure and pick up a copy of this year's Advent Devotional - Darkness Then Light -either at the Friendsgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 19th or on Sundays on the table in the Narthex. These are stories of illumination which contain vivid portraits of humanity, steeped in the aching depths of darkness and the vibrant births of new light - two realities that permeate and shape our existence. Hope is to reflect on these personal stories of darkness and light, reminding us of the predawn moments of your own life and rejoice in the light that never fails to arrive in hope and glory.
Parents Night Out
We want to support you as parents by taking care of your kids for a few hours. Just $20 a family, no matter how many kids! Drop off at 5pm, pick up by 8pm and let us take care of the rest. The next Parents Night Out is on Friday, November 21st.
Deck the Halls
Ho! Ho! Ho! Plan to join us on Sunday, November 23rd following the 10:45am worship gathering for a time of decorating and transforming our campus into a winter wonderland!

2025 Hope for the Holidays Service
The Stephen Ministry Team at Good Shepherd would like to announce that our annual worship service for those grieving the loss of a loved one will be shared on Thursday, December 18th at 4pm in the Sanctuary. The service will also be livestreamed. This is a special time of honoring and remembering your loved one this holiday season. If you have lost a loved one this past year and would like a photo of your loved one to be included in the "In Memoriam" video presentation, please scan a favorite photo with their full name and email to mary@gspc.org or mail it to the church office by Monday, December 8th. The photos will be shown on the screens during the service. Please be in touch with Pastor Bryan at bryan@gspc.org if you have any questions.
Handyman/Woman Opportunities
It has been suggested that some people in the Congregation may need help with small maintenance jobs around the house. If you are one of those, let us know and we will see if we can help you OR if you are able to make small repairs (this maybe a father/son or mother/daughter teaching experience) and would like to help in this manner, please contact Dudley Stone at 310/427.9631.
Food Finders
Food Finders have received a grant to help the low-income folks with food since the government won't be giving the SNAP food funds on the first of November as usual. As a result, volunteers are needed to help sort and distribute food at Admiral Kidd Park on these Saturdays: 15th, 29th - December 6th, 13th, and 20th
If you can volunteer between 8 and 11am any of those days, please let Arlene Mercer know at 562/714.1155.
