Good Shepherd - Week of January 11th, 2026

Sunday Worship
Join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series on Prayer at the 9am and 10:45am worship gatherings in person, or the livestream option directly from our website at (gspc.org). Each week we will explore a different aspect of what it means to speak with God - how to pray, why we pray, and the life-changing power that comes with it.

Stop by the Welcome Table!
Whether you're new or have been around for a while, our Welcome Table is a great place to learn more about what's happening at Good Shepherd. You'll find information on current ministries and a friendly face ready to answer any questions you might have.
Alive in the Adventure of Jesus
We invite you to join a couple dozen of us who have been meeting each Wednesday evening at 6:45pm in the Fireside Room, to walk together in a quest for spiritual renewal and discipleship. We have been using Brian McLaren's book We Make the Road by Walking as our guide. The New Year is a great time for you to join us as we begin a new section in the book. In the first section, we started at the beginning of the Bible with creation and quickly covered the stories and themes of the Old Testament. Our time together is a combination of presentation by Doug Scholten and small group discussion around tables. Please consider joining us for the "Adventure of Jesus" as "we make the way by walking" together. (If you would like to order a book they are currently only $8 on Amazon). https://aco/d/dykZ4Xp
Stay Salt Book Study
Want to start out the New Year strengthening your understanding of the Gospel and your love for God? We will set out to do this as well as learn how to live our Christian faith more openly and authentically, becoming better prepared to logically and gently explain our faith and hope to others. Starting January 14th, please join us for a 14-week study on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 7:45 as we read and discuss Rebecca Pippert’s best- selling book, Stay Salt. Please contact Lauretta Van Netten for more information laubee@verizon.net or 714/742.4142
Precept Upon Precept - The Book of Revelation
Precept Class is held each Wednesday from 6:35-8pm in Room #4 beginning January 14th for an overview. The book of Revelation is an amazing opportunity to take the time to be with God and build a great relationship and learn about the end times. The group utilizes a workbook that can have up to five hours of homework per week. It will take us to many other parts of the Bible and will last almost two school years. Contact Jack Knutzen at 562/810.7808 or email at knutzen4@gmail.com for more information and to get the first workbook. Click the link here to get more information!
Faith at Four (45)
Join Carol in the Choir Room on Wednesday, January 14th at 4:45pm as we explore the Christian practice of reflecting on past blessings, God's faithfulness, and personal spiritual history. In these moments we find encouragement, strengthen our faith, and find a sense of renewal. Come to share how you've seen God's commitment and consistent presence through life's ups and downs as we encourage each other through sharing our stories. Plan to stay for dinner, worship, and classes afterwards.
Prime Time Luncheon
Join us on Thursday, January 22nd at noon in Zirbel Hall as we welcome back Dewey
