During Holy Week, we are going to spend a night of worship at Seal Beach during sunset. Meet us on the north side of the pier on Tuesday, March 31st at 6pm. 

Do you have a loved one with mental illness? This group is for you! You will receive encouragement, discover that you are not alone in this challenge, and find new resources to help you cope. Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7-8:30pm in the Fireside Room. The next meeting is on April 9th. Questions? Contact Debbie O'Dell at debodell51@gmail.com.

We're heading East to Palm Springs to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens! Plan to join us on Thursday, April 23rd from 8am-6pm. Cost: $90. Set your alarm clocks for an early departure and join us as we experience the beauty of God's creation on this all-day adventure. We'll experience the Zoo in a whole new way, with a guided Private Safari tour beginning at 10am and giraffe feeding with our personal guide. Lunch will be on your own at the Big Horn Cafe. After lunch you will have time to explore the many gardens and exhibits before leaving at 3pm. Sign up at the Senior Ministry table on the Plaza.  

You are invited to our next Special Needs Spring Dance, an evening of fun for people with developmental disabilities. Join us on Friday, April 10th from 7-9pm in Zirbel Hall. Wayne Harrington (DJ) plays great music to dance to, listen to, and enjoy with a room full of friends. You are welcome to bring refreshments to share. 

Having trouble paying to get your car fixed or can't afford your property taxes? Maybe Good Shepherd can help! Contact our Benevolence Deacon, Janet McWhorter, at janrbabe@aol.com or 562/338.8982. She will send you a Benevolence Fund Application to complete. Janet will then meet with Pastor DJ to discuss your request, review the support amount, and pray for you. You will then be contacted with how we can support you. Please be assured that all communication is strictly confidential.

We Care in Los Alamitos is having a fundraiser, "From the Heart Island Style" on April 18th at the Navy golf course. They provide rental assistance, food, and emergency support for families in Northwest Orange County. There will be a Hawaiian dinner, beverages, and prizes. Go to WECAREORANGECOUNTY.ORG/FROMTHE HEART to learn more and to purchase your tickets by April 1st.
