Good Shepherd - Week of June 7th, 2026

Sunday Worship

This summer, we are beginning a new sermon series on the parables of Jesus. These short stories are simple enough to remember, but deep enough to unsettle us, challenge us, and reshape the way we see God, ourselves, and the world around us. Together, we'll listen closely to the stores Jesus told and ask what it means to receive his kingdom with open ears, honest hearts, and lives ready to respond. Join us at the 9 am and 10:45 am worship gatherings in person, or the livestream option directly from our website at (gspc.org).

Welcome to Deacon's Corner: Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry does just what the title says: We pray FOR YOU and your request! These requests get to us through a number of ways. Either you can fill out the tear off section from the printed Sunday bulletin and drop it in the offering plate, send us an email through prayer@gspc.org, or by clicking the link found in the weekly bulletin which comes to your email. Your request is then sent to a prayer team who will confidentially pray over this request daily for the next 30 days. We are always happy to receive new volunteers to be part of our growing team. This ministry requires a very small investment of your time, but the dividends are HUGE for the recipient. If you are interested in being part of this ministry, please email Heidi Butcher at Heidinp58@gmail.com.

Cancer Support Group

Our next Cancer Support Group at Good Shepherd will be online on MONDAY
June 8th at 7 pm, via Zoom. All cancer patients and their caregivers, past
and present, are encouraged to join our group for support and prayer. A Zoom link
will be sent out before the meeting. Please contact Heidi Butcher 714/319.5040 with questions, or if you are new to the group so that we may add you to our group email distribution list.

Quilters

Quilters meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 10 am in the Round Room #4. Their next meeting is on June 8th.

NAMI Family Support Group

Do you have a loved one with mental illness? This group is for you! You will receive encouragement, discover that you are not alone in this challenge, and find new resources to help you cope. Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7-8:30 pm in the Fireside Room. The next meeting is on June 11th. Questions? Contact Debbie O'Dell at debodell51@gmail.com.
