Lindsay and Allen Hamlin will be visiting our church on Sunday, July 27th to tell us about their mission in Asia. Come to the Fireside Room for a casual reception between services to meet the Hamlins, have some good conversations, and enjoy the snacks.

School Supplies Needed for We Care, Covenant Presbyterian Church, and the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Please come by the Local Missions table to pick up lists of supplies needed.

Good Shepherd Blood Drive with the American Red Cross is Sunday, August 3rd from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Gym. You can sign up after services or contact Sue Liff, Marsha Stanton, or Beth Piburn. You must have a photo ID to donate.

Vacation Bible School is August 11 - 15. An information and registration flyer is available Online. If you would like to volunteer, contact Thea Walker.

Vacation Bible School needs supplies! Please save your soup or juice cans-12 oz.-clean, dry with top removed and clean prescription bottles. Band aids are also needed. These items are desperately needed! Place items in a bag marked “Sue Gilmore” and bring to the church office. Thank you.

The Presbyterian Global Fellowship “Inside Out Conference” is August 14-16 in Long Beach. Join with other Presbyterians in becoming “Inwardly Strong and Outwardly Focused”. Host homes are needed. Some who are attending cannot afford a Long Beach hotel. Would you be willing to host a guest or two on (August 14 and 15)? If so, contact Pastor Jim.

Christian Care is only a phone call away! If you find yourself needing any help this summer, don't forget to call our Deacons. We can provide meals, help with small home repair, come visit, bring communion to you, provide transportation to the doctor or grocery store or church, and many other services. Stop by the deacons table or call Marie at the church.

The Way Out Kids say thank you so much for your kind support of their Summer Camp needs. You gave almost $3,000 which is enough to send half the kids to camp. If you had intended to help and need an envelope, see Buckeroo Bill at the Local Missions table.

Helping Hands Men's Ministry is in need of Good Shepherd members that we can help. There has been a misunderstanding that we can only help poor members, but that is not true. Prayer for the Fulani Please pray for Jeeves, that he would hunger and listen to the Scripture cassettes that he has while we are away. Pray that the Spirit would draw him and his whole family to faith in Jesus. Pray, too, that his wife would become pregnant. Please continue to pray for our missionaries around the world.

Equipment Exchange If you have unused equipment that we pass on to someone in need, please contact Marie Crenshaw at x105 or by E-Mail. We need small wheelchairs and shower chairs, and we will pick up if needed.

Prayer Chain Ministry If you desire prayer, please let us know by filling out a prayer card (found in the sanctuary) or by calling 562-493-2553 x1. Prayer requests are conveyed to team members, who will pray for each request for one month. All requests are confidential.

Home Communion is the first Sunday of each month. If you cannot attend worship and would like home communion, contact Tom Barnes or contact Marie Crenshaw at x105 or by E-Mail.

Food Finders Needs volunteers to drive weekly distribution routes in Long Beach, Los Alamitos and nearby areas. Most routes take less than an hour and are during morning hours. Contact Chris at 562-598-3003.
