Pastor's Note | Monday, May 20th

The school year is coming to a close and Summer is right around the corner.

This means new opportunities for Connecting with God, Growing in Faith, and Serving in Love!

It all begins with a Family BBQ on Wednesday May 22nd at 6:30 pm. It’s the end of the “FLIPT” Children’s Program and you are all invited to join in the festivities - Western Theme, BBQ, fun, and good fellowship! Please e-mail Karen Eckland, Children's Director, at to let her know of your plans to attend.

Last Summer we hosted the SHIP homeless transition program. The significant result of that was a number of men who have gone on to steady employment and re-establishing a home. We will be hosting SHIP again this Summer July 6th to 27th led by Pete Murphy. Contact Pete at if you would like to learn more about assisting with SHIP.

Also last Summer, we experienced the adventure of soaring to new heights of faith during the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS). That week we hosted over 135 children who heard the good news of God’s love and of life in Jesus Christ. This Summer we will again open the campus to VBS on the week of July 29th through August 4th. The focus will be on “Epic Bible Adventures” with David, Esther, Nehemiah, King Josiah, and Jesus. It will be a faith-building experience for kids. Please contact Michelle Heath at if you would like to volunteer to help - crafts, snacks, crafts, Bible studies, and other ways.

In addition to these planned events we will continue to conduct ministries with students, adult education, and, of course, on-going worship. Please pray for these events, join in where you can, and together let’s give all glory to God this Summer.

In the Grace of our Lord Jesus,
Pastor Jim
