Study Guide | Genesis 11.1-9
Hi friends,
Have you ever heard the phrase "Make a name for yourself"? How was it used? Positively or negatively?
This week, we continue our series Every Good Endeavor, seeking to uncover what the Bible says about labor so that we can recover a Christian concept of work. After a couple weeks of thinking about how work was originally intended to be, last week we engaged why that's not how we experience it.
In this week's study guide, we engage Genesis 11.1-9, the story of the Tower of Babel, seeing that work can be selfish and reveal our idols. That, in trying to "make a name for ourselves" we can go against God's intentions for our lives.
Blessing on your study. See you this weekend!
