Study Guide | Philippians 1.12-18

Hi friends,

In the Spirit of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians, Grace and Peace!

This week we continue our fall series, Joy on the Journey, engaging Paul's Letter to the Philippians 1.12-18. In these verses we hear of Paul's chains, but more importantly, we hear that the difficulty he is experiencing is actually advancing the gospel!

In ways quite similar to the first century, our culture sees "winning" (as one actor puts it) to be the most important. And if a church, political party, or idea is not experiencing such success, then - it's thought - then it must not be true, right, or of God. Paul shows us another way. In Philippians we see a preacher who's become a prisoner, and yet, the Good News continues to go forth!

Here is the study guide. I pray that it helps you make sense of the "chains" you experience - and, more importantly, how God can use them to advance the Good News of His Kingdom of Love.

I look forward to seeing you on Saturday evening at 5pm or Sunday morning at 8:45 or 10:30am. While you're here, why not invite a friend?

Grace and Peace to you,
Curtis
