"The Formation of Christian Worship in Good Shepherd's Young Disciple Singers"
This is a quote excerpt from page 102 of the book 'Intergenerationally Christian Formation" by Holly Catterton Allen and Christine Lawton Ross. "Wertsch and Rogoft have conceptualized the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD)* as: "the phase in development in which the (Person) has only partially mastered a task but can participate in its execution with the assistance and supervision of an adult or more capable peer. Thus, the zone of proximal development is a dynamic region of sensitivity in learning the skills of culture (the
Levi's Training in worship), in which (persons - members of Young Disciple Singers) develop through participation - with more experienced members (members of the Chancel Choir) of the culture."

Local and Worldwide Missions
Take a look! On the back wall of the Sanctuary, in the Narthex, is a wall covered with pictures and information about our Local and Worldwide Missions. You can see your local mission team and our worldwide missionaries and get to know them a little better through photos and newsletters. You can see our local outreach partners with pictures of the many who have served in the community from Good Shepherd. You can join a local mission team to volunteer.
Ask someone on the Local Mission or Worldwide Mission team if you'd like to know more or be involved in some way. New team members are always welcome!
