40 Days of Prayer for Discernment

Hello Good Shepherd Friend,

In recent weeks we have begun a process of discerning the denominational affiliation that would best support the ministry of Good Shepherd. This came as a result of the Presbytery of Los Ranchos calling all congregations into this kind of “season of discernment.”

As part of our process, I would like to invite you to join with me and the Discernment Working Party, in a 40 Day season of prayer for discernment. This document provides some guidance for daily prayer and reflection on Scripture beginning May 1st.

If you would like to learn more about our discernment process, we have created this webpage with videos of our Town Hall meetings as well as a number of documents related to our discernment process.

Next week you will receive a letter detailing the steps we will be taking in the near future related to determining our denominational affiliation. It will include specific dates and specific decisions we will be making together.
