Christian Outreach in Action

COA provdes a stable, daily environment for the homeless and poor by offering transitional housing, food, clothing, spiritual guidance and vocational counseling. Good Shepherd small groups cook dinner for COA monthly. 

Food Finders

Food Finders is a multiregional food bank that rescues food from hundreds of local grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and produce markets. This food is then taken directly to missions, shelters and domestic agencies to feed the needy and impoverished. Food Finders relies on volunteers and staff drivers to help pick up and deliver.

Grateful Hearts

Grateful Hearts is a community resource center for those in need, serving our local community, surrounding communities, and impoverished areas abroad.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

InterVarsity is an active student movement, committed to knowing and experiencing God, reaching campuses with the love of Jesus Christ, and raising up leaders who will change their world.

Judy's Kitchen

Twice a year, Good Shepherd members prepare and serve food at Judy's Kitchen, which offers a warm lunch monthly to those who need it. Judy's Kitchen operates out of Community Congregational United Church in Christ, Los Alamitos.

Precious Lamb Preschool

Precious Lamb welcomes the children of Long Beach's homeless and underserved community into full-time, high quality preschool education. The program is free and enables parents to pursue employment, education, rehabilitation and housing.

Self-Help Interfaith Program

SHIP is an ecumenical collection of volunteers from approximately 18 local congregations. SHIP provides a four-month residential program designed to help homeless guests attain permanent self-sufficiency.

Rising TIDE

The mission of Rising Tide is to empower children and youth of low income, multicultural families of the greater Long Beach area through academic support, tutoring, mentoring, cultural enrichment, arts, sports, supervised recreation, and other after school programs. 

The Way Out

The Way Out Ministries is devoted to Jesus Christ and His calling to serve the people of the inner-city and urban America. Spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally reaching the people of the inner-city in deed and truth.

We Care 

We Care is a non-profit organization that pools the resources of the community to meet the emergency needs of families and individuals such as rental assistance, utility assistance, DMV fees, food, personal care items, clothes and more.

Young Life 

Young Life believes in the power of presence; that adolescents' lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them and share God's love with them. When their leaders believe in them, teens begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.

Bringing the HOPE and message of salvation to the African people who are confronted daily with the hardships caused by the pandemic spread of the HIV virus.

Frontier Fellowship

As part of God's mission to the world, we invite believing communities to engage people groups where the Good News of Jesus and His Kingdom is not yet known.
