Ah yes, Easter. The one day out of the year children look for brightly colored plastic eggs filled with candy and lunch with the family is mandatory.
And that's it.
Or is it?
Could there be more to this day than wearing pastels and looking out for a giant bunny?
For thousands of years, people from a myriad of cultures and backgrounds have celebrated the events of this day as the triumph of light over darkness. And they have done so because of a rumor started by first century peasants who declared that though their rabbi had been crucified, dead and buried, he rose again on the third day, defeating death.
We invite you to join us Sunday, April 24th at 8:45 or 10:30am to celebrate this good news that's even better than plastic eggs filled with candy. Don't worry, though, we will have some special goodies for the kids and a gourmet espresso bar for the adults!
