FLIPT

I’m constantly being asked, “What exactly does FLIPT stand for or mean?” Well, I hate to disappoint all of you creative thinkers out there, but FLIPT isn’t some acronym with a really awesome meaning. Sorry!

FLIPT is really what we want our kids to be. Our prayer is that the children of Good Shepherd that walk through the doors of FLIPT would meet friends, meet Jesus and impact the community. We pray for kids that will live lives FLIPT for Jesus. That’s really the longing of our staff at FLIPT.

And it is such a huge blessing to watch Christ shape the hearts of these kids. Just last week, during our time of worship there were some girls that were totally lost in worship, raising their hands to God and singing their hearts out to Him. Is there anything more exciting!? Is there anything more sweet!? This is what it’s all about!

Our FLIPT leaders are committed to lead these kids towards the heart of God. However, in the process, each of us on staff has found that these kids are leading us to the heart of the Father as well. What a great reminder that we are not the teachers, we are just as much as learners as the children that come through the doors on Wednesday.
