Heifer Sunday

This Sunday, November 14th, Good Shepherd will host a fair benefiting Heifer Project International, a non-profit agency whose mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth.

You will have the opportunity to purchase animals to be sent to families in third world countries. The idea is to give them a source of food rather that short-term relief. The families agree to pass on one or more its animal’s offspring to another neighbor in need which creates an expanding network of hope, dignity, and self-reliance.

The fair will feature a free petting zoo, including a bee keeper, compost worms and weavers! Invite your friends, neighbors and relatives for this is fun, interactive way to serve all of God’s people!
